Our history is just as important as our current life... it is what helps us decide what choice to make: keep on studying, start to work, stay on the sabatical!!! I think sometimes we try to re-write our own history... which may lead to making the wrong choice or forgeting who we reallly are. We can ignore all we want, but our history, eventually, always comes back to hunt us. On the other hand, some people believe that without history our life's amount to nothing. Definately, at some point, we all have to chose: Do we fall back in what we know? or Do we step forward to something new? It's hard not to be haunted by our past. Our history is what shapes us, what guides us. Our history re-serves us time after time after time, but we have to remember: Sometimes, the most important history is the history we are making TODAY.
